Boza was commissioned as a restaurant brand for a coastal location in Moraira, Spain. The client arrived with a name and a general idea: Colombian influenced cuisine presented through an international, contemporary lens.
The brand needed to work digitally during the planning phase and later be reproduced physically by local suppliers without direct design supervision. This required a system that was clear, flexible, and easy to implement across materials and contexts.
Although the initial request was for a logo, the project evolved into a complete brand vision. I developed a clear brand manual that defined usage rules, visual tone, and future applications. The system included guidelines for interior decoration, product extensions, packaging concepts, and merchandising allowing the client to execute the brand independently with different suppliers while maintaining consistency.
The visual identity was designed as a one-ink system, functioning almost like a seal. This approach reduced production costs while ensuring consistency across print, signage, and everyday restaurant materials.
The simplicity of the mark made it easy to brand elements such as napkins, packaging, and menus, while preserving a strong, recognizable presence aligned with the restaurant’s port location and culinary concept.
